Take a look at these short videos, showing the people and ministries of PAMI.
Here is a 6 minute video that not only shows excerpts from our 3 week mission trip in March 2013, but also portrays contrasts and captures feelings. First, there’s the contrast of going from the cold white winter of Minnesota to the warm green liveliness of the Philippines. One can feel overwhelmed by the flurry of activity, but also be moved in the heart to stand in awe of God’s creation and people.
Here's a sample of the 16 Kids Times we did during our March 4 - 27, 2013 short term mission trip to the Philippines. After traveling across the bay via banka (outrigger boat) from Lavezares to Bankawan Island, Ben and Pam Wellumson led the kids in singing, and Bible stories about a big catch of fish in a net and being fishers of people. Afterwards, we went swimming with the children and they gathered shells for us. See www.pamimission.org/blog for more pictures from the trip.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Philippine-Asian Missions, Inc. (PAMI) by interviewing board members and Filipino workers about the early days. Also remembering those PAMI people who have passed on, including field director Pastor Chito Mendizabal, first missionary Norval Thorud, first board president John Krizan, and other U.S. board members .
This 12 minute video celebrates the last year or so (March 2011 to June 2012) of the life of Pastor Chito Mendizabal, who was the Philippine-Asian Missions, Inc. (PAMI) field director and head of Emmaus Bible Institute (EBI) in Guinlajon, Sorsogon City, Sorsogon Province, Philippines. With a diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer on July 1, 2011, we are thankful for the miracle of 11 1/2 more months of ministry and time with family, when less than 6 months is more typical. Ptr Chito had a strong faith and positive attitude right up to the end. Many who would visit to encourage Ptr Chito, would be encouraged themselves. See www.pamimission.org/news and www.pamimission.org/blog for more info.
The first half of this video are clips of Ptr Chito from the video "Living Bread in Bicol", and the last half includes a slideshow of ministry and family photos from the last year with background of singing of friends with Ptr Chito, as well as a little video from the June 7th PAMI workers meeting.
