Two Girl Scouts Collecting Items for Needy Filipino Kids
Here’s a flyer describing the project of two Girl Scouts. Please consider donating some of these items, or helping with shipping costs. It only costs $95 to cover shipping of a balikbayan box that is 29″ x 17″ x 20″, regardless of how heavy it is. Items collected this year would probably be sent by mid-October, to arrive in time for this Christmas. Similar items were brought and distributed by the Respond team in July 2009, and later collected as a “Bags of Hope” campaign at Prairie Hill E. Free Church in Eden Prairie, MN in Fall 2009. It’s kind of like the shoeboxes of items that Samaritan’s Purse collects for Operation Christmas Child. Even simple items like these can really brighten up the lives of needy kids in the Philippines. State of the Union

* Four Christmas pictures, including one of EBI receiving an award for 1st-runner-up in a Province-wide Christmas cantata contest held at Aemelianum College. To be invited and to place well brings nice recognition of EBI in the eyes of the community. (see below)
