For a summary of 2016 ministry, below is a copy of what went out to those supporters that received year-end statements in January:
Thank you for your gifts and prayers for PAMI in 2016. They are fitting of Acts 20:35 that says “…we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
This has been another fruitful year of ministry. At least 88 people were baptized. 14 year old Necky is now able to see again after successful cataract surgeries in November and December. Four graduated from Emmaus Bible Institute on April 1st. Leoneil was retained to pastor a daughter church in Buhang, and a chapel was constructed and dedicated there in November. We were able to distribute over 1200 Operation Christmas Child boxes and carry out a lot of discipleship along with that. There have been many film showings, Bible study outreaches, radio programs, children’s feedings, VBS, and Compassion programs. Follow-up Bible studies were held with Operation Blessings wheelchair recipients. We’ve even been able to offer faith-based values education in public schools and family development sessions with government welfare recipients. We helped over 100 victims of a December 2015 typhoon through our area, including funds to repair churches and homes, and relief items sent via balikbayan boxes. Books, games, and a laptop were also sent to start a kids library in Mabini. It’s through the partnership of dedicated Filipino workers and faithful supporters like you that all this is possible.
Thank you very much for your part in this work. May God richly bless you.
Michael Thorud, PAMI president
