Compassion, Computers, and Weddings

Here are some more updates from Pastor Chito, dated Feb 10, 2012
.
Dear Brother Mike,
.
Praise God that I wake up strong today. Though I thank Him for whatever state I am. Today is Padaba (Compassion) weekly learning; children would be here a little later; classrooms and kitchen are all ready for them. Then, later in the afternoon, prayer meeting of the parents. Last week, Ofel’s class (Mt. Zion, 28 kids) and (Mt. Moriah’s, 24 kids) had their Extra-curricular activity. Ages 9 and above are required to have 2 extra-curricular in a year. This time, kids are taught how to prepare food – market, cleaning the raw fish, meat, vegetables, cook them and table setting- with the supervision of teachers and some parents. It was fun, they prepared at least 4 dishes.
.
Thanks for always praying for me. The grace of God will sustain me, I strongly believe that He will grant our intense petitions. Until today, Christians are coming to pray for me.
.
It’s nice that Ptr Gumer was here yesterday. He’s so glad about having radio program again.
.
Presently, everything is doing just fine, with some adjustment sometimes. For example, meetings were done in our house so that It will be more comfortable for me. All activities – planning and operation are still being done smoothly.
.
We’re glad of your prospect visit; but I’d rather like your visit to be as planned like before. I want that everything goes as normal. And I think, it goes as normal as it is that my wife and kids and going with their lives just the same – no stress and anxieties.
.
Anyway, we’re training everyone here from time to time like Lorenzo, Elmer, Thelma and Mariz, especially with the computer works – and praise God, three units of desk top computer will be sent to EBI end of February. This is through the coordination of Ptr Mario Gacis. A computer technician (from Germany) one time visited him. They have project of sending computers to some needy places. Ptr Mario coordinated with local government in Casiguran (since he’s working a church in this place) and barangays would recieve 2 or 3 units of computers and that EBI would have 3 of it. I think all in all 15 units. This project was done April last year; shipment was bit delayed and had problem with custom; but now it’s made possible already. We have to pay for the freight of computer P2500 each.
.
So, the room that vacated by Sis espie (she’s living outside EBI now with husband) will be computer room now. We’ll be teaching EBI with basic computer now. And most, PAMI workers who want to learn.
.
James and Janice’s wedding was done last thursday, Feb. 09.
.
That’s all for now. God is great and good for all the wonderful opportunities of serving Him. God bless everyone! Thanks for having me always in your prayers – and also for praying for this mission.
.
Love you all in the Lord Jesus,
.
