Feed My Starving Children Meals Used in San Isidro, Samar
From Sister Raquel Ongcal (serving in San Isidro, Samar)
Greetings! We have Sunday worship here (afternoon) in San Isidro attended mostly by young people and some adults. We have lot children here for their Bible study and feeding. Thank you very much for the Feed My Starving Children meals that you’ve sent, this adds to our milk feeding. The children love this meal. I received 7 from Pastor Chito. I pray that you would send us more. Please pray too for me here in San Isidro as I’m working alone. At first, Janice (EBI intern) is with me, but went home temporarily because of severe skin allergy, probably from too much exposure to heat/sun or maybe due to water. Anyway, nothing to worry because the house that we’re renting here is owned by a Christian too.

Ministry to Kids and Construction of Building for Them
Praise God that the new kids’ building at EBI is now finished enough to be useable! After about two months of construction and $2500 spent so far, the cement walls and floor, and steel roof are now in place. But approximately another $1500 is desired to finish it (adding electrical, plastering of walls inside and outside, steel window frames and glass, and installing comfort room and sink). Please consider helping with this.
This building will especially be a big asset to the Compassion ministry. It will be a “home” for the 101 Compassion kids to gather, display their artwork, and call their own. Medical, dental, and other services will be rendered there. Tables, chairs, teaching aides, and supplies will be stored there. It will also be an office for adminstrative work. Furthermore, since this building is a big improvement to our facility, it’s probable that Compassion will increase the number of sponsored kids to 150 by 2011!
Below are photos and a report from Ptr Chito that describes their gratefulness and gives more details, history, and other facets of PAMI’s ministry to children: Read More
Sirangan Market Site Ministry Using Proclaimers

Poor kids at Sirangan market site reading along in Bibles as they listen to a chapter from the Faith Comes By Hearing Proclaimer
From an Aug. 14th email from Pastor Chito:
In the past, it was very hard for people here to open their house for Bible study. We usually knocked doors and people would looked at us with disdain and rejected us. This in turn compelled us to pray harder for people to be more receptive to the gospel. We prayed earnestly early in the morning (Daily Dawn Watch), and we even had prayer jogging at 4:30AM to 5:30AM praying for the place that we passed through.
Praise God to see people becoming more and more responsive to the Good News, not only house to house but in throngs. Indeed, the field are white for harvest. This is what happened to our market site ministry. Read More
Two Girl Scouts Collecting Items for Needy Filipino Kids
Here’s a flyer describing the project of two Girl Scouts. Please consider donating some of these items, or helping with shipping costs. It only costs $95 to cover shipping of a balikbayan box that is 29″ x 17″ x 20″, regardless of how heavy it is. Items collected this year would probably be sent by mid-October, to arrive in time for this Christmas. Similar items were brought and distributed by the Respond team in July 2009, and later collected as a “Bags of Hope” campaign at Prairie Hill E. Free Church in Eden Prairie, MN in Fall 2009. It’s kind of like the shoeboxes of items that Samaritan’s Purse collects for Operation Christmas Child. Even simple items like these can really brighten up the lives of needy kids in the Philippines. Thank You Minnesota Valley Kids
To Him who can do more than all we ask or imagine … Minnesota Valley Church of Lakeville, MN held their Vacation Bible School July 18-21. Included in the VBS program were mission presentations given by PAMI volunteers on the life and ministry in the Philippines. Children were encouraged to bring in their offerings to go towards PAMI’s milk feeding ministry. An intense competition between the boys and the girls upped the ante every night. By the end of the fourth and final night, the Minnesota Valley kids had brought in a total of $700.

Enjoying the Gift of T-Shirts
The love of God! This time we’re fixing the ceiling of the church. Hopefully, we’ll finish this for 7 days, so that we could start the kids building. Isomel is at Calbayog already. He may have need amount too for house rent there. I may give Icy (sister) P1000 pesos for food as volunteer to help Isomel. Lorenzo is still with EBI for some schedule of film showing (Castilla first this week).
Ptr Randy said that many enrollees from Lavesarez would be coming to EBI.
I attach some pictures of our young people here that received shirts (fromSis Chris’) during Saturday’s Youth Practice and Gathering. I give shirts too to PAMI churches. We appreciate much Sis Chris and others for the T-shirts.

T-Shirts, Meals, and New Students
The richest grace of God in Christ Jesus! Praise God, your box arrived too in good condition. T-shirts from Sis Chris are very nice. That would be very timely for youth summer activities. As of now, we have youth workshops for music and discipleship every Saturday. That is teaching how to play church instruments and how to lead songs. James and Kevin are the facilitators. Ofel is sorting out items for churches: T-shirts, FMSC meals, some books and others. We’ll give them, this May 28th during the giving of allowances. Yeah, two boxes of FMSC meals from Bro Jim Wenzel too. Probably, we could initially give each churches 20 bags of fmsc.
