- Bible Studies: In Abad Santos Sis. Michelle has four families who attended permanently and more than 80 children attended for children’s Bible Study. Other Bible Studies are from San Vicente, Ilawod, Obrero, Sabang.
- Calayugan: I joined with Ptr. Joel every Saturday afternoon. We are planning to change the schedule to Sunday afternoon. If God’s will we are going to start a worship service this year, because there are more than 12 baptized believers already in Calayugan. Please include this in your prayers. Read More
MARAMING SALAMAT PO!

We want to convey our deep appreciation for all the kindness and gifts that we received from you. In Tagalog, we say “Maraming Salamat po!” “Marami” means a lot or many; “Salamat” means thanks” and the expression “po” suggest respect.
What you have sent us means a lot to us. Primarily, it boosts our spirit, to know that a lot of people care for us. This edifies and encourages.
Furthermore, the amount that you’ve sent as a gift helps workers here in a great deal.

Sorsogon City Pastors’ Fellowship

For quite a long time, pastors and Christian workers in Sorsogon City were divided by invisible walls of indifference, probably because of frictions in the past – some say connected with “elections.” Some pastors were very active (even endorsing a presidential candidate); others were maintaining a non-partisan; still other pastors filed for candidacy for a particular position. Many others doubt that city pastors would be reunited again.
On November 30th 2010, however, about 50 pastors in the city responded to our invitations (initiated by Provincial Council of pastors) to a meeting. Election of officers was one item on the agenda. The thrust is more of building up one another as partners in God’s mission.

Sirangan Outreach

Sometimes, our schedule isn’t as smooth as we’d like. Sirangan outreach schedule of Christmas program was Sunday, December 19th in the afternoon, immediately following the Emmaus Christmas program in the morning. Sponsors (children’s feeding, our transpo, now christmas gifts) arrived from Manila. They prepared food and gifts for the children and adults Bible study. Beforehand, names of children and adults who attended Saturdays Bible study were asked and been sent to Manila. Gifts then were very personalized, names were on each gift. This might be good in a place like Sirangan where some people tend to be “clever.” Interested only to receive gifts and not in Bible study. Read More
Emmaus (EBI) Christmas and Thanksgiving

It has been said that Philippines have the most elaborated and the longest as far as celebration of Christmas is concerned. In fact, when the month ends in “ber”, as early as “September”, a Filipino family would start decorating one’s house with Christmas tree or lanterns. There are good and not so good things about it. The not so good things are: focusing on material things, as expecting gifts, and the extravagance and excesses (food, drinks) and “firecrackers.”
The good thing: Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to evangelize people; Filipino, being closely- knitted and gregarious.

PAMI Potluck Pictures & Video

We had a nice turn-out of about 60 people at the annual PAMI potluck on September 24th. Thank you to all who attended and helped. We enjoyed the lively worship led by Joey Feliciano and The Repeat Offenders from Crosspoint E. Free Church. It was interesting hearing Kermit Titrud speak of partnering, sharing his experience as a Wycliffe Bible translator in the Philippines, and recalling his visits with Norval and Ardelle when they lived at the Bethany Bible school in San Jose, Mindoro about 30 years ago. Mike Thorud reported with pictures on the many ways that PAMI has been partnering with others during this last year. We also viewed a 6 minute video of clips from the EBI graduation this last March. Nun Comes to Know Christ
When ministering God’s Word, we never know whom he might lead us to. Pastor Randy tells us that on September 12, a woman who was a nun, and who has listened to Randy’s Christian radio programs for some time, attended the Sunday morning worship service in Allen. Afterward, Randy led this woman to accept Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. Glory to God!

Dioveta Anion is already 30 years old. Her mother died 5 years ago and his father 2 years ago. She worked for 12 years as a house helper (mostly in Manila) in order to help her family. At age 25, during one of her visits at her hometown, she was invited to attend a Christian church worship (the church was being pastored by Pastor Abner Cornelio, Presbyterian then). It was the start of her conversion, and her knowledge of EBI. Read More
Free Haircuts in Allen
Last month Ptr. Randy (serving in Allen, Northern Samar) told us how they used free haircuts to spread God’s message and love:
One of our radio listener owns a barber shop here in Allen. I convinced the owner to have a Free Haircut at the elementary school. Praise God because a lot of elementary students enjoy a free haircut in their school. Before we started I gave a devotional message. We have now a new Bible study in Barangay Lipata Allen. Some radio listeners are members of one of the cults here but praise God they are now regular listener and have Bible study in their house.

E2E Jesus Film Showings
One of the partnerships that will be highlighted at the PAMI Potluck this coming Friday Sept 24th is the End to End (E2E) program with Faith Comes By Hearing. On one end are Jesus film showings in the Bicolano or Tagalog languages, using the Acclaimer projection system received from FCBH on May 8. This is followed by weekly Bible study groups that listen to and discuss a Bicolano or Tagalog audio New Testament, using one of the 25 Proclaimers received from FCBH on May 8. Because of the good response, FCBH plans to now supply another 25 Proclaimers. Some of the exciting developments are listed below. Read More
