Ptr Gumer & Ofie Gile with adopted sons, Moses (7) and Jason (13), heading to Juag Island in the outrigger of Mang Jose Fruto.
Here’s the most recent PAMI publication, which includes highlights from the EBI partition and Bulan partition on page 1, and highlights of Ptr Gumer’s ministries on page 2:
April 2018 PAMI Newsletter
Note that Ptr Gumer could use sponsor(s) to cover his $200/month allowance (travel and family living expenses) and $25/month milk feedings, which are currently just covered from PAMI’s general budget. He has sponsors for his housing and radio time, but not for the rest of his expenses. In addition to what’s on page 2 of the newsletter, many more nice pictures from Ptr Gumer are located below. These include photos of the April 7th Rock for Jesus Battle of the Bands held at Irosin Public Auditorium, an April 17th Mabini crusade with mini-concert, March 12-13 Camilig relief distributions and film showings, and other film showings. Ptr Gumer has been very active with film showings using equipment and films provided by Vernacular Video Ministries. Praise the Lord that many people attend these film showings, and respond by raising their hands to commit themselves to Jesus. Read More
Candumaay Christmas Love; Hista's Still Need Sponsors
The ministry in the Candumaay barangay of Matnog was boosted by an abundance of Christmas love, both at Christmas-time and extending to Easter. Last December included Apple Giving to Values Instruction Classes taught by Histas at a local public school and a wonderful church Christmas party sponsored by Filipino patrons. Then during Easter week, Samaritan’s Purse provided Operation Christmas Child gift boxes and Biblical booklets. Ptr Michael and Michelle Hista do a great job there, and still need sponsors. They still need one or two sponsors to cover their $90 per month allowance and $25 per month motorcycle payment. They’ve been in Candumaay almost a year, since getting married April 26, 2017. The breadth of their ministry is quite impressive for being there just one year. For more info on their ministry in Candumaay, please see the August 2017 PAMI Bulletin. A lot of great photos of their various ministries, as well as a nice report from last October can be found below.

Irosin Church planning a second Rock for Jesus Battle of the Bands
The PAMI Irosin Church is planning a second Rock for Jesus Battle of the Bands on April 6 (about a year since the first one) to be held again in the town ampitheater. It is meant as both an outreach and fundraiser to raise money for a youth welding program. See the following proposal submitted by Ptr Gumer. The PAMI mission plans to provide $120 help towards this event like we did last year (enough to cover some prize money). They plan to raise other funds through other sponsors and entry and admission fees. Let’s pray that the turn-out will be even bigger than last year. Read More

Fabrica Church Hoping to Build on Newly Purchased Lot

This is the current rental of the Fabrica Church.
Fabrica Church recently bought a lot approximately a football field length away from the place they’ve been renting for many years. Fabrica is one of 63 barangays of the municipality of Bulan, on the west side of Sorsogon Province. Fabrica lies along the main highway as you approach Bulan town proper from the east. Fabrica Church is the oldest daughter church of the Bulan Church. Fabrica Church will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in January. It was founded by and is led by Pastor Joel Homo, a long-standing elder of the Bulan Church. Pastor Joel is a part-time pastor and part-time photographer. The Homo family were the first converts of Rev. Norval and Ardelle Thorud when they started work with PAMI in Bulan 35 years ago.The Fabrica Church has wanted to acquire a lot and to build their own church building for a long time. They’ve been searching for a lot with a good location and good price for many years. Several years ago, we came close to buying a lot in Fabrica, but there was a problem with the title, and the deal fell through. Thankfully, this time it worked out. The Fabrica and Bulan Church members have covered the 120,000 peso = $2400 cost of the lot themselves. But they would like help with construction costs, which could be $4000. If funds become available, they hope to start building early next year.
Click on the following link for more info: Fabrica Lot and Bulan Church Improvement Report 11-30-17
This is a 11-30-17 report from Ptr Virgilio Fulo, the senior pastor of Bulan Church. It addresses the Fabrica lot, and also mentions a couple improvements to the Bulan Church that were recently completed with the tithes and offerings of their own members. Note that the stairway railing shown in one of the photos goes up to the new second story Sunday school classrooms mentioned and pictured in a 11-25-17 report that was towards the bottom of the previous PAMI Post article on the Bulan Church. It is great that the local church covers a lot of their own facility improvements.

Candumaay Kids
Here are pictures from kids in Candumaay, Matnog, which is one of the outreaches of Ptr Gumer for about 3 years, meeting in the home of Sis Eva. This is one of the places where Operation Christmas Child boxes were distributed. Some of these pictures show kids with follow-up discipleship books from OCC. Bible studies are also held with parents. This is where newlyweds Ptr Michael and Michelle Hista will be living and ministering after their April 26 wedding. We are looking for sponsors to cover the $75 per month allowance of Ptr Michael. We hope this Candumaay location can eventually turn into a daughter church.
