Reports from EBI student interns

These are reports from two students supported by the youth group of Trinity E. Free Church of Lakeville, MN.  Other EBI students could use sponsorship at $30 per month to help cover some of their expenses too.  See previous posts for more info:

From Brother Jess Huab
To Brother Mike and Trinity Youth,
To God be the Glory! Thank you for your supporting me and your encouraging letters. I’m sorry that that I have a hard time to answer your letters because of my condition being an intern student. I seldom go to Emmaus, and I stay most of my time in a very remote village called Cawayan. This place is my burden because this place is where my roots come from. I pray that they will be saved too. Will Graham, OCC shoeboxes, KAIROS, Ptr Chito’s health, PAMI support

Here’s a recent email prayer update that I sent out:

PAMI field director Pastor Chito Mendizabal has referred to recent Christian activity in our region of the Philippines as being historic.  This is largely due to much anticipation of the Will Graham Bicol Celebration of Hope crusade, which will be on April 28 – May 1 at Pili Stadium in the neighboring province of Camarines Sur.  Will Graham is the grandson of the famous evangelist Billy Graham, and son of Franklin Graham.  For several months, pastors and lay leaders have been preparing for this event.  In Sorsogon City alone, a hundred pastors gather regularly for fellowship and coordination of efforts.  People in neighboring provinces like Sorsogon will be provided free transportation to attend the crusade.  Pastor Chito was recently assigned as an ECHELON SUPERVISOR of counselors from the southern Bicol region.

Ministry of Intern Student Jess Huab

Emmaus Bible Institute is a four-year Bible School, equipping local believers for full time ministry and evangelism.  The course work at EBI consists of three years of class-room study and a one-year internship.  The internship gives students the opportunity to have hands-on ministry experience while being supervised by a local pastor.
The following is a report from Jess Huab, one of PAMI’s intern students.  Note that Jess is sponsored by the youth group of Trinity E. Free Church in Lakeville, MN.  Other EBI students could use sponsorship at $30 per month to help cover some of their expenses.

Calbayog Ministry

By Ptr. Isomel Espinar (pioneering in Calbayog since spring/summer of 2010)
Note that he still needs sponsoring. See also:

PAMI Strategy to Spread Further South and Testimonies of EBI Graduates.
First of all, we would like to thank God for the great privilege of serving Him in a place like Calbayog (Western Samar). What we did first, was entrusting to God this such big job in prayer. With Ptr Randy Rivera in his motorcylce, we encircled the city praying the people.
Next, we surveyed the place, gathering data which we could use in planning and developing strategies.
We’re able to find house, a strategic one, now establishing relationship with neighbors. It’s good that we’re able to start at once feding for children. In Bgy Pablican, we started home Bible studies.

E2E Jesus Film Showings

One of the partnerships that will be highlighted at the PAMI Potluck this coming Friday Sept 24th is the End to End (E2E) program with Faith Comes By Hearing.  On one end are Jesus film showings in the Bicolano or Tagalog languages, using the Acclaimer projection system received from FCBH on May 8.  This is followed by weekly Bible study groups that listen to and discuss a Bicolano or Tagalog audio New Testament, using one of the 25 Proclaimers received from FCBH on May 8.  Because of the good response, FCBH plans to now supply another 25 Proclaimers.  Some of the exciting developments are listed below.
